At NEXUS, we focus on how to help third sector leaders excel. In collaboration with Paula Louise Dixon, director of Hazon Consulting, we have created a series of workshops designed for senior charity leaders which aims to equip attendees to be able to navigate sector-specific challenges through Covid-19 and beyond.

We sought to apply an occupational psychology lens to answer this question. Our research determined fundraising leaders have distinct personality qualities and demonstrate a unique combination of leadership competencies with specific development needs. There is, however, chronic underinvestment and a distinct skills gap when it comes to developing leaders in the sector, supporting the findings of The Commission on the Donor Experience. This is where NEXUS fills this gap.
The four, monthly, half-day workshops are experiential with a focus on building knowledge and confidence, and equipping charity leaders to deliver better organisational outcomes.
Each workshop is underpinned by positive psychology which emphasises flourishing, happiness and well-being. In other words, accentuate the positives, mitigate the negatives!
